Log In to complete your first STAR test
If you are a Westfield pupil, all you need to do is click here to log in to the STAR READING website. This link only works if you are in school. Please don't try to log in at home - it doesn't work! Log in with your username and password. For most of you, your username is the first three letters of your first name and the first three letters of your surname. So Adam Smith would be adasmi - all lower case letters. Your password is the date and month of your birthday. 9th March would be 903, 11th December would be 1112, 27th Febrary would be 2702. Passwords are either 3 or 4 digits long. They cannot start with a zero, which is why 9th March is 903 and not 0903. Once logged in, click on STAR READING and then you'll be asked if you want to start the test. Only click on start when you are ready to begin. Once you've completed the test, it will give you a Zone of Proximal Development - known as a ZPD - which allows the website to then suggest a wide range of books to help you with your reading.
Once you have completed the test and you have a ZPD, you can log in to the website above and click on Accelerated Reader to see a list of recommended books that are available in our library. When you complete one of these books you can log in to your account and complete a short quiz. Every time you complete a quiz on a book you've read, it is added to your online bookshelf in your account so you can see what you've been reading.

You can visit our Accelerated Reader library book list online to see all our Accelerated Reader books that you can choose from. Sort the list by reading level and then go to the page for the level you are looking for.
