On Wednesday 18th March 2015, the school was unexpectedly closed for the day. This was due to an electricity supply failure which meant the school was cold, dark and it was not safe to stay open. It even meant that no school meals could be cooked.

At break time, instead of the playground being full of children playing, it looked like this...

The electrical engineers had to use a digger to dig up part of the front playing field to find the electricity supply pipe that was causing the problem.

The damaged pipe could be seen in the hole, which had to be carefully replaced by the engineers.
