How is progress measured and monitored?

• Continual monitoring by the Class Teacher
• Ongoing dialogue between SENCo, Class Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Parents/Carers and Pupils as required
• Pre and post intervention data (baseline/outcomes)
• Formal and Informal Assessments
• Observation
• Analysis of data
• Pupil Progress Meetings
• Checking of books and planning by co-ordinators and leaders
• Assessments and reports provided by Educational and Medical Specialists
• Use of Checklists
• Attendance and behaviour data
• Informal observations by senior leaders
• Pupil Interviews
• Pupils with a Educational Health Care Plan are formally reviewed at an Annual Review Meeting which will involve any Professionals that are part of the pupil’s care

The SENCo conducts regularmeetings with the Teaching Assistants and leads Staff meetings (when required) during which training takes place.  Class Teachers and Teaching Assistants attend relevant courses.
